Gorilla Marketing

One idea (though not sure how feasible it is) would be to go into business geared toward healthy living (Yoga studios, health food stores, legitimate massage therapist locations, YMCA locations, weight lifting locations, etc. - even senior living communities) and offer to do a chiropractic demo day at their location.  Not sure how much paperwork this would entail - would we need to have a complete intake bundle on each participant?  If so, maybe we should just offer to do it for the staff after hours one day rather than for the general customer flow.  Or maybe we could do it just as a lecture or educational demonstration rather than hands on participation.  I believe I have been to "health fairs" before where paperwork was minimal, but not sure what is necessary. These lectures / demonstrations would, of course, require extra personnel hours, so the cost/benefit ratio would need to be considered.  However, if we could somehow market the wellness / physical fitness feature of regular chiropractic care in addition to the familiar pain relief aspect, it might bring in a different demographic group.  I know we offer discounts to military personnel now, but would it be cost effective to extend something similar to first responders, fire department personnel, police officers, and perhaps even some health care providers (such as home health care workers)?  All of these are very physical jobs where workers might benefit from chiropractic care.  If not discounts or other incentives, what about a day dedicated to each group (or all at once) for a free visit / open house type event? Or just give out a free first visit card at some of the locations.  You have probably thought of most of these, so maybe nothing new here.  Just some abstract thoughts.

I appreciate you sharing your ideas!

I think that we might get benefit from going to a kickboxing, taekwondo, burn boot camps things like that for people that are using there entire body for hard workouts multiple times a week would really take advantage of the plan and package options we have here at the joint if they are the opportunity to try it out either by a day of giving out information and free initial visits cards or regular referral cards.

I also think that pairing with a near by massage places or stretching zone would be good for each location to keep referral cards stocked that they can give out or visible to anyone.

I completely agree with the idea of reaching out to gyms, yoga/Pilates studios, and other fitness or wellness spaces. One strategy could be leaving flyers or promotional offers at the front desk, where they’re easily visible to members or workers. Building referral partnerships with instructors, personal trainers, and other wellness professionals can also go a long way in creating mutual value and getting people in the door.

It’s also a great idea to personally introduce ourselves to nearby businesses like massage therapists or bodyworkers for referrals.

Mallard currently has a few patients who participate in Burn. Perhaps we could use our current patients to help us make connections and reach out into the community that way.

I think something that would be good is hosting more 'events' which would allow for easier marketing points. Even on a quarterly basis, something to create an environment that will help patients to remember us and tell others about us. making it feel more like a community. Even offering healthy alternative snacks/ drinks etc. or a patient appreciation day etc.

I think a doc going around to small businesses that align with our mission could be helpful for people to hear about it right from a dr. to show the benefits etc an bring a personable experience.

I think as you interact with the businesses that are close to your clinic, the word will spread as to who we are and what we do. It doesn't have to be a lot, just show interest in them and their businesses.  If you have food places close, go and eat there.

i appreciate all this feedback and will incorporate it as I plan future activities!
